Free Virtual Chronic Pain Support Group

Living with chronic pain can feel isolating, but support, education, and connection can make a meaningful difference. Manhattan Pain Medicine offers a free monthly virtual support group for anyone living with chronic pain, including current patients and people outside the practice. This online group provides a safe, guided space to share experiences, learn coping strategies, and feel less alone.

Learn how Dr. Barbiere's free pain support group provides a safe, supportive space for people living with chronic pain to connect, learn practical coping strategies, and build community.

Free Monthly Support Group, Open to Everyone

Manhattan Pain Medicine’s Free Chronic Pain Support Group meets virtually on the last Wednesday of each month. The group is led by Deborah Barbiere, Psy.D., L.Ac., our pain psychologist, who helps guide each session with compassion, structure, and clinical insight.

Participants are invited to connect with others, share their experiences, and better understand the emotional and psychological impact of living with chronic pain. The group is free and open to everyone, whether or not you are currently a patient at Manhattan Pain Medicine.

A Space to Feel Understood

Chronic pain can affect every part of life, including identity, relationships, mood, and hope. This group offers a supportive environment where participants can speak openly, listen to others, and recognize that they are not alone in what they are experiencing.

A Space to Feel Understood

Guided by Pain Psychology

The group is facilitated by Deborah Barbiere, Psy.D., L.Ac., who specializes in pain psychology. Sessions are designed to help participants process the emotional weight of chronic pain while building awareness, perspective, and a stronger sense of control.

Understanding Insurance Before You Begin

Before care begins, our team helps patients understand the practical side of treatment, including insurance verification, out-of-network benefits, cost-share estimates, self-pay options, and billing questions. We believe patients should have as much clarity as possible before moving forward.
