Dr. Tayyaba Ahmed, DO is a board-certified specialist in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation with a clinical focus on male and female pelvic health, chronic pain, and sexual wellness. She is widely recognized for her expertise in uncovering the often-overlooked role of the pelvic floor in persistent pain conditions.

Born and raised in New York, Dr. Ahmed earned her medical degree from the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her residency training at Northwell Health on Long Island and at the Rusk Institute for Rehabilitation at NYU Langone Health in Manhattan.

Although she began her career treating sports injuries, Dr. Ahmed soon discovered that many patients were not fully recovering with conventional approaches. Her search for answers led her to explore pelvic floor dysfunction—a hidden yet crucial factor in many unresolved cases of pain. This insight transformed her approach to care.

Dr. Ahmed is a fellow of the Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and a member of the International Pelvic Pain Society. Her osteopathic training guides her holistic philosophy, rooted in the belief that the body can self-heal and self-regulate when given the right support.

Above all, Dr. Ahmed is known for the deep compassion and commitment she brings to every patient interaction. She takes the time to listen, connect, and understand each person’s unique experience. Her patients consistently describe her as a caring partner in their healing journey—someone who not only treats symptoms, but also honors the whole person behind them.
